I am an experienced computer scientist and technical manager who has worked within research & development activities in academia, industry and central government departments over the last 30 years. My main interests are in software engineering, software infrastructure, data systems and data science. The work I enjoy most is working at the intersection of science, application domains and organisations to identify opportunities for innovation. I am also passionately interested in the public understanding of science and technology.
