Matthew Nichols

I am a Research Associate based in the Environmental Information Data Centre (EIDC). My work includes facilitating ingestion of research data of long-term value to the NERC data centres, supporting NERC grant holders, and contributing to current CWI and NC projects within the Environmental Data System Group. I am interested in data management, manipulation and visualisation, and investigating key environmental science challenges by using virtual labs to promote collaboration between environmental scientists, data scientists and key stakeholders.

I graduated with a MGeol Geology from the University of Leicester and have completed a PhD at the University of Southampton in Palaeoceanography and Palaeoclimate.
