About
I am an ecologist who likes measuring soils and want to better understand their inner workings and unpack the black box, in an effort to shape more sustainable and resilient landscapes. As well as having a deep curiosity for belowground biodiversity, I am interested in the development of methods to measure soils at scale, data integration, and modelling to improve knowledge of land use and climate impacts on soils. I am also keen to foster data visualisation approaches for better science communication and knowledge exchange. Recent projects have focused on extreme weather (flooding and drought), the development of proximal sensing approaches for rapid soil assessment (spectroscopy) and drivers of soil biodiversity (mites and worms).
