I investigate the effects of climate and land use change on plant-soil biogeochemical processes in terrestrial ecosystems, delivering research to increase understanding of microbial greenhouse gas production and consumption mechanisms in soils. My work covers peatlands, grasslands, Arctic heathlands and boreal forests.
