About
I have over 20 years of experience in environmental data management - the main focus of my work has been on developing information management systems for long-term ecological research networks. Currently I am part of the team developing the eLTER (a European network of Long-Term Ecosystem Research sites and socio-ecological research platforms) information system which is developing transnational environmental informatics infrastructures and services. In my previous role I led the management of the UK Environmental Change Network (ECN) Data Centre for over 10 years, being responsible for implementing data standards, improving the efficiency of data handling, the development of dynamic data delivery tools and publishing datasets/data papers.
