I am a Research Associate in iceberg detection, who is using machine learning and computer vision techniques to detect icebergs using SAR satellites. Current work focuses on utilising a state-of-the-art iceberg detection algorithm that is designed for icebergs embedded in sea ice. My PhD work was focused on quad-polarimetric SAR analysis of icebergs in Greenland and Svalbard, which focused more on scattering physics and polarimetric behaviour.
