About
I am a Research Software Engineer at the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology.
I recently completed a PhD in physics, where I applied generative machine learning techniques to simulations of fundamental particle interactions. Having pivoted into environmental science I am keen to work on a range of problems and pick up new skills, at the same time as looking for problems to tackle using more familiar techniques from my physics background.
I also have a strong interest in teaching, supervision and communities of practice. I hold a postgraduate certificate in academic practice and am currently leading a research project in physics education.
