About
My main area of expertise is academic research focused on the conservation of aquatic environments, assessing energy flow and the physical and biotic integrity of rivers and streams, with a primary focus on ichthyofauna studies. I have 13 years of experience using carbon and nitrogen stable isotopes to evaluate the influence of various anthropogenic impacts—such as pasture, agriculture, urban sewage, mining dam failures, and methane, on freshwater ecosystems. Currently, I am a Research Associate at Lancaster University, working on a project in the Brazilian Amazon.
